Great starter set for any artist just starting out or a coloring enthusiast needing color variety

Love the variety in these pencils! This is the largest scholar pack sold and includes all of the colors they sell to date. The color goes on smoothly and evenly and is easily blendable to get the look you are trying to create. These pencils work great in adult coloring books and on sketch pads both. I've also used my electric eraser and regular polymer eraser with these to create different textured looks as well. The colors easily layer from light to dark giving you an awesome layered look. A great set for the artist just starting out or coloring enthusiast needing variety.
Nice set of pencils!

Fantastic deal on a fantastic product.

These are fantastic. I'm not familiar with high end brands so I can't provide more than my experience with store brands and crayola but these certainly blow all those out the water. The cover smoothly and more completely than anything I've ever used. The colors are rich and vibrant. It would be nice to get a nicer case but for 30 dollars on amazon, this is a steal.
Pluses and Minuses.

I'm new to the adult coloring fad and have no art experience of any kind. I like these because they are soft and easy to apply the color. The colors are bright and different from my Crayola pencil set with almost no overlap. My issue is that because they are soft, you use up the color fast and they have to be sharpened very often. I bought the recommended Scholar pencil sharpener, but the points break off very easily as you sharpen, even though I am careful, so you waste a lot of pencil in the process. And they are pricey. The plastic case is awful.
Pretty, but break easily

These are very pretty on paper, vibrant and a creamy color. However, once you start sharpening them, they tend to break and fall out on you, even when using the same brand sharpener. Otherwise I like them.
