Big tool lots of leverage. ..but is to get into tight places with the pivoting head.. make sure your using the correct side of hook...one short one long. ..otherwise you'll gouge seal seating surface...handle kept sliding off but I just used some motorcycle grip glue I had...no big deal

All about the right tool for the job. I needed to replace the CV axle seal in the front differential of my Kawasaki Brute Force. Normally in the past I would try an assortment of screw drivers, picks and hammers to get the old seal out. This tool got the seal out shockingly easy, to the point that it surprised me and I thought the tool slipped or something broke off.
Good tool, bad pin design.

I realize this is around fifteen bucks.

That said, for something "Made in the USA" it has relatively poor quality. The puller's pin that locks the arm in place fell apart after 1 use. I can still use the tool but the pin falls out a lot. The detent ball popped out repeatedly. It's something that should have been caught in QC, but wasn't.

It's not worth sending back for this flaw... but it does warrant taking off half the rating. I just tape the pin to the tool for storage so I don't lose it.

The blade is fine, but the tip isn't really sharp enough for some tight-clearance seals. I had to start several seals with a screw driver, and then the tool was able to get in and do its magic.
Completely worth the investment

Never used a seal puller before, Ive always used a screwdriver, claw hammer etc. After marring a few seal seats I decided to give this a try as the price was very reasonable. It has made pulling the seals easier, and i havent scarred a seat since. 100% worth the investment.
Lisle tools rarely disappoint!

This is one of those tools that you don't realize you need until you discover just how easy it can be to remove oil/wheel seals...the adjustable head makes it easy to use in a variety of locations.

It just works the way you'd expect.
