I was introduced to this game while visiting my daughter-in-law. I thought I'd see if Amazon offered the game and found this nice wooden version. The first time I ordered it, there were no square playing pieces that had a five on them. All the numbers were represented except the 5. I sent it back and immediately received another game that was complete. I love playing this game as one would play solitaire. Being older, I think mind-teasing games are good to ward off the effects of a "lazy brain." This should keep my mind stimulated for years to come........at least that's my plan.

I actually like this board, and transfer onto it those puzzles I can't solve directly on paper. But the company's boast that it works for ALL Sudoku puzzles isn't exactly true. For complicated puzzles you'll need FAR more of the tiny "thinking" tiles than is supplied here. (Yes, they're order-able... from ANOTHER company. When you do order them -- and you will -- order two packs, just to be sure.)
The thing that bugs me is, for literally PENNIES MORE this company could have provided sufficient tiles, and consequently offered a great product. But apparently to save money, they opted for a middling item. Well, okay, then they fully deserve this middling review.

I love sudoku and decided to try this board. I lkked it more than I thought I would. The board is well-made. The pieces fit in nicely, and the drawers stay in place really well. The number tiles have a red number and then a black number so you can easily know which pieces were in the original layout of the puzzle you are working on.
Overall, great product and worth every penny!

The board is attractive and well made. However, the set was missing the #2 tiles. It's very distracting to use place holders other than number tiles. The set looses it's appeal with missing pieces and I can't find replacement tiles.
