They look great but it was difficult to grind coarse salt and whole peppercorns using just your thumb one handed. I ended up grinding salt and pepper on the coarse setting in my big grinders, then adding them to these mini grinders. Problem solved.

The shakers are solid and will hold up well! They are as pictured and I've been using them for the past couple of weeks with great success on my griddle. I went with putting regular salt and pepper into them and may order a couple additional for some of my other frequently used seasonings. With a little practice I'm now able to dispense the right amount without over seasoning. I would recommend practicing shaking/dispensing over a paper towel (so you can re-use what comes out) to get a feel for how fast/slow the material comes out. Although there are a lot of hole it doesn't come out as fast as you'd think. For anybody that is doing a lot of cooking of large quantities of food these are a must have.
Work great and no batteries or moving parts to break. Would recommend to a friend or family

Well made and sized just right. My family tried the battery operated salt and pepper shakers for about 8 months or so and went thru 3 sets and finally gave that up. These have no batteries, not moving parts, look great and work as they should. I wondered at first if not being markeed "Salt and Pepper" on the shakers was going to be a confusion problem but not to worry. After a few shakes it is easy to tell which is which by looking at the lids as well as the salt is quite a bit heavier. Put some rice in the salt shaker to take care of the moisture here on the coast and everything is great. Lastly the shakers dispense the salt and pepper heavy or light by the way you tilt the container and shake. The handles on these shakers is a must. Highly recommend.

These were just what I was looking for. Great for use when cooking in the kitchen for salt or other seasonings. They are even better quality than I had hoped for, nice shiny stainless. Lids screw on and off easily when you need to use a measuring spoon. Holes are not too large so you can use just the right amount and not over season. Very happy with my purchase.

I have always wanted a salt and pepper shaker set to have on my stove while cooking. I grew up with my grandmother having a set like this that she used every time she cooked a meal. They were so convenient and easily accessible. So I sought out a similar set. This set is almost identical.
These 2 shakers are not labeled and the holes in each are the same. The holes are fairly large, but if you are using them to cook, they are wonderful. You could use for salt, pepper, cinnamon, sugar, or any spice...
They are stainless steel with screw on tops. I have had no issue with rust and are easy to clean. They sit nicely on my stove top within arms reach
