Depending on how you do it and how long you leave it on you can create so many different looks with this product and another added bonus is that it softens the hair strands. There may not be a whole lot in each bottle but I think they're all measured out the same across the board.

I was getting SUPER tired of my black locs. I've been LOC'D for two years and wanted to see if I could achieve a golden blonde look with this box dye. I got a decent lift on my hair, but it definitely was not the color on the box (as expected). However, I made the mistake of dying my roots too fast and got the golden blonde color on my roots in the front, and I actually love the way it turned out. I also have these really cool blonde "er" ends from dying my hair before getting it LOC'D. I'd recommend starting with the ends and then processing your roots once you get a decent lift on the locs.

Edit: I might buy it again knowing it will not cover all the platinum. I'm pleased with it. What's new about this solution is that it feels like it's "stripping" off color. As your washing off the solution it feels sort of "gritty" like when hair has been bleached, without the bleachy feel after you dry your hair.
