This little gem, along with a "Matter of Time Instant Privacy Pop Up Shelter" stand up tent, were the best purchases I made prior to my camping trip to a music festival. Portable toilets in the middle of the night? Oh heck no! Get this little folding potty frame with bags and a tent to set it in, and you'll thank me later.
great for emergencies and on the road

Lifesaver! With 5 kids we have to plan for the unexpected. We keep this in the back of the SUV for emergencies. Have only had to use it 3 times but kids were fairly comfortable using it since it felt more like a real toilet. I tried the portable potties for toddlers but they were not used to the feel and would not go!
I do use this with bio bags and diapers we've outgrown to catch the liquids. We also have the bio powder but haven't tried that yet. We also purchased a shower pop up tent in case we need more privacy. It's a tad smaller than the "round" shaped toilet seats you would buy for the real thing. That's not a bad thing as we were able to set up inside the main cabin of the SUV between third and 2nd row seats when 2nd row seat was folded out of the way.
It's very lightweight and goes without saying if your kids can't balance themselves you will have to make sure it won't tip while they're on it. Worked for my 2 year olds as well as 8 year olds. I don't remember the weight limit but make sure you check as it doesn't look like it would hold more than 200 lbs.
Set up does take a few seconds to get the seat clipped on and the bag secured so don't wait until the very last minute! The seat comes with a bag "holder" to keep the bag from slipping.
With 7 people it's great to have an extra toilet for camping, and even hotel rooms!

works great when needed!

this item is a bit deceiving in pics and when you get it, but man when you get it!!!! came in handy was just what we needed having little ones for parades and long road trips. A bit flimsy if not put together properly. serves the purpose though. The legs are put together u have to open them up in an x shape and fix the seat to it. Once u put the seat securely on the frame u put the bag in with the additional internal seat ring. It works similar to a diaper pail. Very easy to use and clean stores very compact which is awesome we keep it in the box it came in. I gave it 3 stars cause it's a tad bit hard to get the seat on the frame and the inner ring doesn't sit down tight but that could be do to the bulk of the bag. But I'm pleased over all to have the convince of this potty

We decided to purchase the Stansport Folding Toilet after many years of trudging to the bath house in the middle of the night. We often would bring a portable training potty for the toddlers, but after I precariously tried to perch myself over it one evening (when I thought I heard a bear outside our tent) I decided to investigate other options. I wasn't in favor of a bucket with lid....so I decided the foldable option would be great to slide between or under a seat in our vehicle. Our maiden voyage with put it under an extreme test. At 3 am my daughter altered is to a severe storm coming our way. We quickly ascertained that we would not be able to weather the storm inside the tent and went to seek shelter. When we returned, we found our 3 tents totally destroyed....but a gleaming white Stansport toilet stil standing and holding the contents of the last deposit. So while I was already impressed that my 220 lb frame could be supported...I also learned it fared way better in 60 mile an hour winds than our tent did.
No more squatting for me!
cjczmommy•July 5, 2016
I was so hesitant about ordering this product. I love to camp but hate squatting to do my business. I looked at the product that has you stand up and pee like a man. Um, no. I just couldn't wrap my mind around it...lol. Anyway, I decided to try this along with a little popup shower type tent for privacy. My son and his father laughed at me, but oh, well. They don't have to squat to pee so who cares! It is light and easy to carry. I put this and the popup in one of those shopping bags from a local restaurant and had no issue taking it down through the woods at the river. I was a little worried because it does appear very flimsy. However, it worked great. I would not use this if you are larger than 150 lbs though. But, if you are a smaller lady or child, love to camp, and hate to squat, go ahead and give it a try. Hopefully, you will be pleased too.
