Great unit to switch between my PC speakers and headphones
PerryNovember 9, 2017
Great unit to switch between my PC speakers and headphones! Uses mini 3.5 stereo connectors and comes with a male to PC (green) for the speaker and one for a PC to mic (pink). The velcro provided made a nice mount on my desk without drilling. Just set your PC volume to high and control all your volume and on/off function for the sound (does NOT control your speaker power).
Works as Intended

This switch replaced one I had for like twelve years or something. The technology didn't need an upgrade or anything and it operates just like the one I had before. This is good for people who have to go back and forth between speakers and headphones a lot, which I do in my shared office space. I like that it came with a sticky pad so that I could put it vertically against one of my speakers. I wasn't expecting that. The sound quality of the speakers or headset has not changed at all since I added this switch to my system.
Works great, no loss of audio quality, and even a little bonus.

I bought this because the headphone jack on my PC broke and I didn't want to buy a whole new case or have to crawl behind the tower every time I wanted to use headphones.

It works great! plug it into the back of the computer and one button press switches between the two outputs (one to speakers, one to headphones). There is absolutely no loss of audio quality when going through the switch. There's even a volume control on it, which I don't necessarily find useful because I control the volume with the operating system, but some might like that feature.

As a bonus, it even comes with a piece of adhesive velcro. That's a really small thing, but mounting the device is something a lot of people might not consider when they buy it, so it's nice that they included it. I mounted it under the corner of my desk so it's out of sight, but really easy to access.

5 stars!
GREAT SWITCHING AUDIO HUB!!!
Frank W. CranmerFebruary 11, 2016
This item works exactly as advertised. I had a setup where I was feeding a computer audio output to set of powered computer speakers near the computer, and also to a TV some distance away (through a long VGA/audio cable). I tried a Y-connector for the audio output from the computer (one output to the speakers and one to the TV audio), but found that I was receiving annoying popping/noise/static on the computer speakers with the TV off. With this hub connected to the computer, I plugged the powered speaker input into the 'Speaker plug in' jack of the hub, and the TV audio input into the 'headphone' jack of the hub.(I didn't use (or need) the microphone jack, since my sound card doesn't have a microphone input. Didn't use the 'Handsfree' jack either.) Now I am able to select either the powered speakers or TV audio. No more noise on the speakers with the TV off! I don't use the Volume control (I leave it at maximum), but the control works if needed. I've been using the hub for a week and so far I am very happy with this product.
Super-simple tool that does the job perfectly
bookem danoJanuary 18, 2016
Super simple device, but does exactly what I needed it to do. I've seen very few tools like this on the market. I like listening to music over my computer, through external speakers, but I use the same computer as my office phone (VOIP sofware - Cisco Jabber) - so I've got a headset for calls. This device allows me to switch between the speaker output and the headset with the push of a button. I couldn't really figure out any other way to configure this within windows, short of unplugging the speaker and plugging in the headset, which was a pretty unmanageable method for incoming calls.

The only addition that I'd like would be to have an active microphone available tied to the speaker selection, so that I could answer calls as a speaker-phone or switch to headset. I searched and I've found nothing that had that capability. It would be an easy addition to add an external mic option when the speakers are selected, and I'd buy that version. But, this is still a huge improvement over any other options that I've found.
