Just received this product. Haven't had time to set it up yet but one thing that bothered me is the package says there are screws for wall mounting included but I didn't find any. Not really a big deal, I'm sure we have a screw that will work. Just think packages should include everything they say they do.

I would give it 5 stars if it had a light that could be turned on and off, but otherwise this is very easy readable from many feet away in the light. No other extraneous, unneeded info other than indoor and outdoor temps. Perfect for our needs. The sensor cord is long enough to reach under a window frame for attaching on your outer wall away from direct sunlight.

After 2 weeks use in a hot tub still going strong. EZ read large numbers. Very accurate when checked against a bulb thermometer. Other brand digital failed in days/hours, not this one!

Both of my mechanical Taylor indoor-outdoor thermometers gave out at the same time, 25years of service.(fluid leaked out of the remote bulb NOT mercury) so....I ordered this Extech 401014.
First, it was listed with a battery, it came without one. Second the angle at which you can view the digits is very acute, although quite legible, positioning and mounting so all can read it is a challenge. No back lighting but high contrast.
Just ok for the money.
