Cheap case, cheap small clamps, standard probes instead of banana plugs.

This kit is not worth the money. The probes do not have banana plug ends, but have the same tiny pyramid ends as the probes which came with my multimeter. The small clamps are flimsy and very difficult to seat onto the modular probe plug. The large clamps are the only thing good in the kit. The case flimsy, with pockets that are open both at their tops and bottoms, so everything in them falls everywhere. The case has room for two small meters, so if you only have one, that's a lot of wasted space.

Consider the Extech TL809 test lead kit. It has the banana plug probes, small clamps, mini hooks, and modular probe plugs. Its small clamps appear to be a much simpler design. Perhaps not internally better, but their rubber shroud won't prevent them from sliding on the modular probe plugs. Just add the large clamps separately and you've got a good kit.
Nice Set [Revised Review]

I originally disliked these probes because I thought the probe tips were too short. They were only about 1/8" exposed. Thanks to the reply on my review, I was made aware that there are covers over the tips that can be removed. They are not shown in the photos so I thought my probes were completely different. I have revised my review in light of these removable tip covers. Even others at work I had shown them too did not realize they had covers and suggested I trim them off with a knife.

My review goes from one star to four. Reason? Although the tips are longer now, they have a banana plug like expansion around them instead of a solid thin tip. I also dislike the fact that they are two-piece probes. Connections on meters are always the source of problems.
Extremely poor quality banana plugs.

These were rather disappointing. While some parts were well made, the entire set is rendered useless by the banana plugs.

1. The banana plugs are very low quality. They are plastic studs with cheap sheet metal wrapped around them. This cladding does not even extend to the tip of the banana plug (see photo). This prevents the plug from making a good connection in the banana jack. I had to press both plugs into the jack with sideways pressure to get the probe to probe resistance low enough to indicate continuity. They failed to connect reliably to two Fluke meters (117 and 87V), a Craftsman and an Agilent benchtop unit.

2. The lead extensions are 33 inches, not the 42 inches described above. However, the wire is very flexible and seems to be of good quality.

3. The probes and alligator clips are of good quality. The mini-grabbers are solidly built with the exception of the copper coated grabber that extends from the plastic sheath. This is very flimsy and the tip is at a 90 degree angle to the shaft, so there is not back rake/hook to give positive attachment.

4. The case quality is fine, though the Velcro would probably get annoying quickly.

With the exception of Harbor Freight "disposable" DVM leads, these are the worst I have ever purchased. I would have rated them one star, but a few components were decent.
Yes, they do fit together

OK, let's answer a blindingly obvious question that the mfgr hasn't seen fit to answer and none of the other reviewers have answered so far (unless I missed it) - which is: Do ALL of the different pieces fit together so that one set of test leads can have 3 different ends? And the answer (drum roll please...) is yes, they fit together very nicely.

Many of you probably assume that to be the case but in the Age of Remote Shopping it's simply not wise to make such assumptions.

As far as this kit is concerned In think it's very decent quality and I think it'll be quite useful. Recommended.
DO NOT BUY THESE ! ! NEVER !

Very cheaply made leads. The leads with alligator clamps don't connect reliably. Very poor workmanship.
Bought these specifically to use the alligator clips - the way they slide into the banana jack leads is not reliable enough to achieve a consistent ohm reading between the leads or when measuring anything. The alligator clips do not fit on the leads. The product is not what was pictured. These are NOT compatible jacks. My money was WASTED. Connection to the cable from the larger red positive probe is BAD.
It was a complete waste of $ as inaccurate reading, cannot use like this, would send back, but had to package open to find out, also trimmed some of the material off probe, thinking the had too much material on them,wrong,disappointed.. BAD
