Dangerous Risks for Dry Eye Users!
Director of Financial Affairs✓ Verified Purchase•February 22, 2018
Beware of this product if you suffer from chronic dry eye syndrome! Just got back from an emergency Saturday morning trip to my Eye Surgeon.
I woke up this past Thursday morning at about 4:00 am and could not open my right eye. After squinting and trying again, it opened, but caused extreme pain and swelling as the action almost pulled off my cataract surgery implant (from a year ago).
I've been using the TheraTears drops for a few months now, and had found it a big nuisance that residue would build up on my eyelids, and in my eyelashes. This residue was not just crusty, it would peel off in large pieces, as if it had glue in it!
Well, I had put a few drops in my eyes before bed Wednesday night, but my eyes dried out overnight. Apparently, the substance in the ThereTear drops bounded the inside of my eyelid, to my cornea overnight. My eye doctor agreed that this must have been the cause (nothing else to attribute it to), and told me to Discontinue using the TheraTears drops! The cornea in my right eye is bruised and swollen, and it will be weeks before the vision will return to normal !

Like many of you here I have battled dry eyes for years too. I have tried so many different brands and types of eye drops and though some had worked, I had to use them two to three times a day. Every morning I used to wake up with that feeling in the inside corner of my eyes (you know that rough burning feeling) and I knew my eyes were bloodshot. Last drops I used are the opcon-a and they worked by getting rid of the redness but the dryness could still be felt. So last week I came across these eye drops and saw how many people have benefited from them so I decided to give them a try and thank goodness I did!! This drops are a lubricant so your eyes will feel oily for about a minute but then they feel normal and refreshed. I went from using eye drops two to three times a day to one time every other day with Thera tears! I'm also taking fish oil supplements with omega 3 which is known to help eye health. Give it a try.

I've used it 2 days now and I like the feeling this lubricant provides over Visine's Dry Eye Relief and Systane Ultra. Until I find a problem, this will be my new go-to eye lubricant. I work in desert environments a lot, so after work I'm always looking for an eye rinse/lubricant. Can't wait to take a few bottles of this to my next job and see how it works in that environment.
Not as expected.

I have bought 4 different brands and none of them satisfied me. One day I read reviews of Thera Tears, and sounds good. I can say that this is not better than the other. I still need to drop 2 - 3 times a day after the first drop. If you want a really good eye drop I recommend RESTASIS, but it is so expensive. I tried my uncle's , because he doesn't need it anymore, geez, you will feel it instantly, I'm not kidding. You won't need another drop for the whole day. After using it for 3 - 4times, I don't even think I have dry eye anymore.
Almost Didn't Get / Doesn't Burn At All

Pros: Work as described; Very gentle/Don't feel 'hard' like some others; Nice size bottle
Cons: None as of 7/2017
Overall: I almost didn't get these because I read a review of someone on Amazon posted comparing these drops to another drop. They said these drops burned their eyes. Luckily, I still went with what the other reviewers said and I'm glad I did. If these burn your eyes then something is severely wrong with them and you should see a doctor immediately. I needed to get artificial tears because they were recommended by my optimologist as having to use everyday. I like these. They somehow feel less 'harsh' than some of the other bigger brands I tried. In any event, I wanted to write this review in the event someone else sees that review I saw about "burning eyes" to set the record straight. I think it really was written by some of their competition (despite the review saying it wasn't). I'm pretty sure I'll be getting these drops again again. #NoShadeJustTruth
