I used Tears Natural Free for many years. These drops replaced those after they were recalled several years ago. In the new version, the price has almost doubled and the amount of vials are about half of what was in the old box. I called Alcon and they said same formula. Not a chance. I know the drops before and these are not the same. There are currently two styles of vials depending on the stock number: One is the original soft vial and the new one. The new style will very soon replace it is a different shape and weight. The new vials are redesigned and are much thicker, squared off plastic and difficult to squeeze. For me, these offered only momentary relief, followed by burning, stinging, and misery. Am looking for another drop for my dry eyes.

Alcon use to make these "single use" vials (called Tears Naturale Free), and they had a snap shut top that allowed you to finish off the remaining amount. Genteal's top won't stay on, so the vial is exposed. I know they advertise single use, but since I have to use drops at least 20 times a day, I cannot afford $5 a day for drops. Genteal, go ahead and advertise single use, but include a snap shut top so that I can decide what I want to do.

I sure miss Tears Naturale Free, but now I am faced with searching for vials that are able to be closed.

All these eye drops are way too expensive -- must be a lot of money to be made.

After having eyelid surgery I needed drops to soothe the eyes. These drops were cooling and kept the eye moist. I am ordering more!

This tear feels a lot more natural than the other brands I've tried.
The only downside is unlike the other brands, the single vial design for this tear is harder to close the cap. You can still close it and most will work pretty well but occasionally you will get a cap that doesn't work really well. That might pose an issue if you're carrying a vial that has already been opened around in your pockets/bags.
