Super useful, cold, comfortable, but this expensive product becomes unusable very fast.

On the one hand (ahem), this thing's great. Covers territory needed for a rotator cuff injury, both pre- and post-op. It stays cold for a good long while, and it's convenient to be able to move when it's on. It's not terribly easy to get this on alone (at least for me), but if I set the elastic straps in place and wriggle into it, it's more or less okay (akin to leaving the knot tied when you take off a tie).
BUT
I bought this about 8 months ago, but only started using it regularly in the past month. I've been so careful with it, too. Yet, one water pouch after another has leaked and only half are still filled. What the heck? For 50 bucks, this thing should have lasted. I've had other cold packs for years. I priced a replacement set the ice sheets, but they're $20. Deeply disappointing

I bought two of these for my twin 14 year old sons to ice their arms and elbows after baseball games. They fold up nicely and take up half a freezer in our mini fridge. The underside is like little ketchup packet size water pockets, so it's able to form to their bodies. They like using them a lot better than a bag of ice or ice pack. Wearing this they are able to move around or do homework at the same time. It's tricky to put on yourself though, much easier if someone does it for you. We are happy with them.
Great design, poor quality?

This thing has been good for the couple of months i've had it until recently. Ive noticed that some of the pouches that hold the ice have been leaking. 3 on the shoulder pack and 1 on the arm/elbow pack. Its very adjustable, which is great, but i think the ice cracks the plastic when i try to adjust it. I havent talked to the conpany yet, but will try to get answers. I can only assume that more of the little ice pouches will leak, leaving me with nothing
cheap product

Cheap product. Although the outside wrap is made with a cheap material it is adequate and does its job of holding and securing the ice in place, however the ice inserts are as a cheap as you can get. Like a thin plastic bag with water inside. The first ice insert was punctured and leaked and then after about 2 uses multiple other leaks appeared. I have not shopped other products yet but if there is one out their with a therapy gel style insert it would be a much better option. I was hoping this would be something durable that could be taken to games and with us on the road, but definitely not the case.
Wonderful pain relief.

My shoulders have caused me more and more pain over the years. Because the pain has crept up on me is the reason I haven't done much to help myself.
Three years ago I bought a wedge pillow as my shoulders couldn't handle my usual side sleeping position. The pillow was super helpful, but even it was limited and the pain I was experiencing was beginning to impact my daily activities.
This shoulder/elbow wrap is amazingly effective. I have used it a total of seven times since it arrived and every time it has taken the pain down several notches.
It is a bit difficult to attach, especially when my shoulder is hurting so terribly. But usually my husband or son is home to help me. The elbow wrap is detachable and I have been able to finish a few household chores when I leave it off. The endge of the shoulder part kinda digs into the side of my neck so I usually place a wash cloth there to keep it from wearing at the skin.
The grinding pain really goes down with the ice wrap and I am really wishing I'd bought this years ago, I can't tell you how many times I have spent my day pacing around the house, cradling my arm, trying to keep my shoulder immobile as each micromovement causes the joint to spasm, pinch and grind.
Just a warning, this isn't a cure. At least for me it isn't. I still have a lot of shoulder pain. I still have to carefully arrange pillows and a sleep wedge when I sleep at night and I still can't carry home a bag of groceries without regretting it the next day. But this has been a miracle treatment for me.
