My husband is a dentist whose high opinion of xylitol comes from much research he performed on a population with poor oral hygiene and an incidence of high tooth decay. Children chewed 2 pieces of xylitol gum per day - one in the morning and one before going to bed. (Too much xylitol causes stomach discomfort, so follow dosage directions.). His dental team discovered a significant decrease in new tooth decay over time within the study group. (Note that this product does not heal tooth decay but prevents future decay.). It's a natural, healthy product that won't cause any negative side effects unless you overdose. It acts to change the pH of your mouth so that decay struggles to set in. Our own children have used xylitol products since they were old enough to eat solid foods. First we used mints and then progressed to gum. Our kids chew two pieces of gum every night after teeth are brushed and before bedtime. Today, they are ages 12 and 9 and neither of them has had a cavity yet. Granted they are children of a dentist so good oral hygiene is a regular routine in our home, but I've watched them both brush and not floss their teeth - its pretty lacking. Having an extra weapon in the fight to minimize tooth decay is a no brainer in my book. We've tried many different brands but enjoy the flavors that Spry has to offer. My kids love the fruit flavored, spearmint, and cinnamon gum. We all love the lemon mints. The peppermint flavored gum and mints (which I love) are a bit too spicy for our kids' tastes. The 600 count container is a better value than these smaller containers, but its nice to have the small containers for travel or refill. Spry is a great product! We will continue to buy....indefinitely.

Not too sweet. Use it after eating on the run to clean my teeth. This won't last as long as the "unnatural" kinds sold in regular store but I don't need very long lasting gums. I usually spit it out after a couple of minutes of "teeth cleaning". This gum lasts plenty long for my needs.

I purchased these to taste the chai and green tea flavors since I already love the cinnamon and fruit. I can't say I love them, they are quite pricey so I will stick w/the ones I like. I cannot find them here and really love the xylitol in all of these gums.

I have a very dry mouth. My dentist suggested I use spry gum with xylitol. This gum has made a big difference in moisturizing my mouth while it is I'm my mouth.. I put the gun in my mouth when I'm talking on the phone so that my speech can be understood better. I would highly recommend spry gum for dry mouths.

So this gum was recommended to me b/c I am on the Ideal Protein Diet Plan. This gum does not have certain ingredients that cause your pancreas to make insulin, so it is allowed on the program.

I liked it b/c I can chew gum! But I can not chew it for more than 30 min or so and the peppermint taste is gone and begins to taste a bit nasty.

If you have to chew something like this gum in order to be able to have gum at all it's a good choice. Otherwise I would not recommend.
