Uniform coating, convenience
Gabriel C.✓ Verified PurchaseFebruary 25, 2018
Wonderful stuff! Using the spray instead of the can is much more convenient for me. I use this on a lot of small wooden parts and even though I could dunk the parts a can, the uniform coating of this spray is great.

Great for dungeon tiles!
Hermes Padilla✓ Verified PurchaseDecember 6, 2017
Order it to varnish my pink foam dungeon tiles because of the reputation of not melting the foam. It didn't disappoint! Just be careful not to spray it to close to the foam because it will melt it. 6 to 8 inches minimum distance from the foam and it will be ok.

I've used this spray poly before and with the proper technique it did a very good job. I found a way to save what's left in these spray cans after using them. Simply turn the can upside down and spray enough of the paint or whatever through the nossil to clear it and it won't dry inside sprayer and clog it up. It won't make the can last foever but it will save you some money in the long run. Check it out it works.
I just don't feel like it goes on thick enough in a spray version

I'm not sure how I feel about this product. I used this over stained oak plywood ( 3/4" x 16" x 8' ). I applied 4 coats waiting about 20 min between coats (this basically used up the entire can). I just don't feel like it goes on thick enough in a spray version. Maybe it's user error and I should have just gotten closer to the wood when spraying, I don't know. It came out in more of a mist than what I think of as a true "spray". After letting it fully cure for 3 days I have decided that I am going to purchase the wipe-on poly and do a couple of coats with that as well and see how it turns out. I will say that the spray did not leave any noticeable lines or marks from applying it, so in that sense it definitely worked as described. It did change the color very slightly from my stain, but that was to be expected.
