Too Tight For Recommended Firearms
Amazon Customer✓ Verified PurchaseNovember 24, 2017
Seems too tight for a S&W J-frame 642 (.38, 5-shot revolver). Holster comes out of your pocket along with the firearm. I probably should have ordered the next larger size, but the size 3 that I got was what was what was recommended for a 5-shot 38 revolver. I have other holsters of similar sizing that don't stick to the firearm when drawing my pocket. And it is difficult to find the actual measurements for Uncle Mike's holsters. Even the company's own website doesn't show them (at least not for this inside-the-pocket model).
Size 3 will not fit 2" revolver.

As mentioned before, the Size 3 will not fit a 2" Charter Arms revolver, leaving the whole trigger exposed. Not sure how any other 2" revolver would fare in this size. Go for the size 4!

EDIT: After receiving the size 4, review changed to 5 stars. Works perfectly with my revolver.
The main advantage to this older style is that it still looks like just a wallet in your pocket

This is the basic pocket holster I am used to. Have carried J-frames and small framed autos in it for going on 10 years now. Not as advanced as some of the new stuff out there, the real advantage to this rig is that it looks like a wallet in your pocket - very low profile. With a single-stack thin auto, this is an excellent deep cover option, even over other more advanced pocket rigs.
Inexpensive and practical holster for concealed pocket carry.

I am able to carry my S&W M&P Shield 40 in my front jeans pocket with no printing. I can't put anything else in the pocket of course, but this holster allows me to be comfortable all day and half the night. I like it. Cheap too. I've had no problems with drawing, although if you're obsessed with a very fast draw while carrying concealed, this holster might not be your first choice. Construction is of good quality. If this one wears out, I'd definitely consider a replacement
Pretty decent pocket holster

I actually think these Uncle Mike's are a great product for the price's paid. I ended up needing a size 1 for my Ruger LCP so had to exchange the Size 2 which was a little too large, so be careful when ordering..Some of the descriptions are misleading and some sites will say the size 2 is correct and some (( not many )) will say the size 1..Anyhow, the stitching was really good on both units and the pistol sits really well in the size 1with the muzzle end being sewn closed. And when pulling the pistol out of the pocket the holster does a good, not excellent, job of staying in the pocket and releasing the pistol..That part could be a little better but then the price would probably go up...The only other negative I could find over the mostly positives is that these are no longer made in the USA and I don't know when they quit doing that..Could be 2 years and could be 10 but mine is made in Vietnam and wish UM still made them here..Just sayin'.....Other than that a pretty good product.
