Great Construction Toy!!

Love this series of toys for 4-5 year old kids. It has a limited amount of parts which is perfect for this age group that wants to put something together but not spend a huge amount of time. My son can pretty much do this one all by himself. We also have the airplane, which is a little more difficult for him but still great. I highly recommend these toys because my son loves it but also I feel like he is getting an education at the same time.

I wasn't sure what to expect with this purchase. I bought this as a Christmas present for my son. The shell of the toy isn't really made from the thickest of plastic, but it has managed to stand up to my boy's rough play, so far. Really a neat toy. All-in-all a good buy for me!
Drill doesn't work

Idea is GREAT, and my 20 month old can do it. BUT!!!! even after returning it and getting a brand new one the drill still does not work correctly :-( It only goes in one direction, even though it has a feature to push in order to reverse the direction. So we can take the nails out, but we have to turn them to get them in.....smh

this toy is built to a very sturdy 'rough & tough' standard that absorbs the hard play of a 3 year old. There were a few pieces, but not too many, and so the frustration level was very low ---- our grandson enjoyed the experience of assembling and tearing down the truck using the 'power drill' without great difficulty or boredom. Some of the plastic nuts / bolts had vestiges of the molding process so I recommend running these in & out by hand to clear the blemishes before using the power tool ----- the safety on the tool prevents complete threading of the piece if motion is impeded by a blemish on the part. In addition, I recommend exercising the power drill trigger so that operation is easy for a 3 year old. After these couple of up front precautions, the toy was enthusiastically enjoyed by our grandson. I am posting this same review for the Take-A-Part Crane as we bought this for grandson #1, also a 3 year old ------- another well built toy that was appreciated by our grandson.
