Got this after sticking my hands into a propane cloud, and waiting for the sound of the apocalyptic burst, while timing my arm's getaway. This torch was the best purchase I made last year. Its still going great. The first one didn't work, out of the box, but it was quickly returnable, and customer service was perfect. The second worked perfectly, and wow. Talk about a great torch. I'm so glad I stuck with it for the replacement. I use this every day, and I'm considering a 2nd for beekeeping, so I have one in my suit and smoker box. I use horse manure, in my bee smoker, and it does that and cow patties, magnificently. It has changed our bee keeping routine, and makes it so quick to start up the smoker. I think we take more time getting dressed now, than worry about the smoker. In very high winds this is quite reliable.
May be purchasing my second Blazer GT8000 Big Shot....

This is a great butane torch, extremely well made, durable, safe, but without overly complicated safety features that would make it difficult to use. I've been using it regularly to light my wood burners, and the flame is hot enough that I've only needed a piece or two of kindling - with seasoned wood, I can usually get the actual logs to ignite.
Unfortunately, it spent the summer out on the back deck, and some of those microscopic "mud-dawber" type insect clogged the line in the head. My husband has been cleaning it, and we may yet get that bright blue, high temperature blow-torch flame back, but chances are it's a goner, and due entirely to my irresponsibility.
I wish the Blazer folk would sell just the head, as that's what needs replacing, but I can seem to find it anywhere, just a whole new torch.
I doesn't matter, though. Worth every penny. Easy to fill, easy to use, and with the proper care, should last a lifetime!

Let's face it. Torches aren't just for creme brule anymore. Whatever your needs are, this torch will get it done, and fast. I have dropped a few torches over the years and would be lucky if any of them survived one drop off the table. I have dropped this torch more times than I can count and it still works perfectly, nothing is loose. It is very well built.

By far my favorite torch I've owned and been through them All but the ease and trouble free use is amazing even if it's left running for 5min straight it keeps performing ..! Top notch product great for Anytning from the kitchen to Dabs....

Best Dab Torch I've ever owned. For me it's Newport or the GT8000. Newport is slightly under the GT in comparison to flame output but the tane tank on the GT is waaaaaaay bigger and lasts longer. Best torch in the market, try to find for $50-$70. No more than that. My local smoke shop sells em for $99, not worth it. Go Amazon.
