I am pretty impressed with this wader. I used it in the ocean and it worked really well. It needs shoes to go with it. my only challenge was that it was pretty baggy and I had to really anchor my feet in the ground because I was getting pulled into the ocean. I took one star off because now i have to get larger fitting shoes to go with these waders. FYI.... yes these are waterproof. it kept me dry. It can be deceiving because it looks just like wet suit material. Let's see how long these last me.
