Light and inconspicuous
TripzeeMarch 19, 2017
Excellent. So light and inconspicuous that can be used anywhere. Weighs just 50g, you can carry it all the time. In some circumstances you would look weird using binoculars.
A great help!

This is my 3rd Nikon. I have low vision and use this a lot. it is especially good for watching live drama in relatively small venues. I don't use the "micro" side as often but if comes in handy to read in a pinch as I always have this Nikon in my purse. Good for indoor viewing rather than outdoor.
Now if we could only get someone to build them like Fisher-Price toys so they wouldn't break so easy

This product has been a handheld miracle for me and my career. The dual use (close vision and distance) has not only allowed me greater ability to see details close and far but it is also smaller than many devices allowing me to use it more discretely. it has been a daily use tool for me for over 15 years and it also got me through the challenges associated with early on-set cataracts. Now if we could only get someone to build them like Fisher-Price toys so they wouldn't break so easy. (Hint hint companies looking to impact the sight impaired community) If they were built to be more durable I bet these would have a huge impact for adolescents with visual disabilities. Can't say enough good things about the product. It is a great gift for someone with sight impairment.
Where have you been all my life?

Depending on your vision, if you are the kind of person who uses binoculars and monoculars, this thing is great.

It has two functions.

One allows you to see at a a distance. What you would expect out of a monocular.
Two, if you turn the dark part around, you can use it as a magnifier. You pull it out from the body and turn it and reset it.

Learned this from reading comments. I thought it was overpriced as just a distance monocular, though it is very good at that. But, when you add in the magnifier function, this makes this an unbeatable deal.

Unlike binoculars, I can just slip this in my pocket and carry it whereever I go. It is not so great at night (unless you bring a flashlight to illuminate the target and even then that depends on the environment). But, if it is daytime, I don't leave home without it.

If you used optical aids, this is a MUST to have (at least for me). Just can't recommend this enough.
