It's a decent piece of art... But thats about it it. Its definitely something that will fall apart if swung around.

This is a very, very long sword. "440 steel" and "CHINA" are etched in very small print on each side of the blade above the handle. While this takes away from the authenticity and fills me with guilt knowing that some poor Chinese child will probably die from lung cancer from the swords construction, the writing is small enough not to be noticed unless you look for it. I missed the Made in China part when I ordered this but I should've expected it since it was the cheapest... The 2 sided blade is not at all sharp (which is good since it's a prop for me) although the point is very sharp and would do quite well for stabbing things should I ever need to poke a large hole into anything semi-soft. The blade does bend a bit and I imagine it would break if I ever had the urge to play-fight with it or say, attempt to stab a firm pumpkin.

Also, the angle the picture is taken at hides the size of the swept hilt - it's much larger than it looks in the picture. The hilt is by no means as shiny as the picture and I could have done a better soldering job myself. The solder has bubble holes and just downright looks sloppy. But it's very fitting for my corsair costume and the seller got it to me within 2 days after shipping (I paid standard, wohoo!). I may add some sterling silver chains and/or black ribbon to the swept hilt to hide the bad soldering and draw attention away from its lackluster.

Overall, you get what you pay for...
