Bit arrived on time and well packed, it comes in a hard plastic case.
I also bought the CMT collet extension and the 3/4-inch diameter bowl & tray bit.
Used the 1-1/4-inch bowl & tray bit with the collet extension to make my first routed bowl as a test and the bit worked flawlessly.
Left smooth sides and bottom on bowl that was made out of glued up layers of maple and red oak.
I will be using these CMT router bits to make some holiday gift items (routed bowls and trays).

I'm using this to make bowls with my plunge router, the cutter does a good job, gives good smooth cuts, I'm new to making bowls this way so there's a bit of a learning curve on setting the depth. I think anyone considering this product should also consider buying a collet extender. Good tool highly recommend.

I used it with good performance . But I faced with problem on my router . Because unfortunately the bits I should use on my router should be in mm measurement but the purchased tray bit is in inches measurement . I should use a convertor but I could not find it yet . Very shortly the product is lovely .

The product seems to be great, but the packing was very surprising. The product comes in a hard plastic case to protect it, but this one was received in the shipping box rattling around like crazy. When opened, the bit was rattling around loose in the box with the product case obviously previously opened and re-closed 90 degrees from proper orientation. It was obvious the bit was just thrown in the shipping box along with the product box as separate entities. Fortunately the bit is very rugged and doesn't appear to be damaged.

I tend to buy once and cry once. I buy CMT bits because they're high quality and I like having nice tools in my shop. I bought this bowl bit for a hall bench project with a dished seat. (A spring 2012 Woodsmith project) It worked well for that task and I expect that I'll use it again in other projects. Really hogs out a lot of chips in a hurry. Recommended if you need a bowl & tray bit.
