Very nice bit.

This bit has worked flawlessly the 2 times I have used it on my table top mounted router. The sound of this bit on start up is a little intimidating. The Finish of the cuts were smooth and had crisp corners without any burnout. This bit cut 3/8" deep and 3" wide cuts on seasoned red oak with ease. Can't wait to use the bit as designed to flatten some large slabs of wood.

Works very well for what I use it for
Time saving, and replaceable blades.

I was skeptical with planing doug fir boards. It cuts through beautifully. Using smaller bits strained my patience. The hug cutting surface speeds up the process exponentially. The finish is reasonably smooth. Occasionally I will get small chips, and you can see a shallow pass line on the trailing edge. Manageable with sanding. I limit each pass to 1/8th inch, any more strains my under powered router. I hit a metal clamp damaging two of the cutting blades. Removal and rotation was easy. Nice not to replace the entire bit. Balance is good but there is a noticeable vibration over my smaller 2" bit. One word of caution"¦ as many of you know router injuries are severe, not a slice and stitch, more flail and amputate kind of thing. Be very careful. The large size and all that rotating energy can get away from you with catastrophic consequences. Safety first!

Used the $180 amana tool 2" bit prior and this unit and it blows it out of the water. Just flattened a ~40" x ~75" table top In minutes and the finish was even superior. 10/10
Great bit for flattening slabs.

I built a router sled for surfacing some slabs, and then used this bit in my larger router. Really worked great - much better than my previous (cheaper) bit.
