Product is even better than described. I had a minor issue with the shipment which was resolved immediately.
Awesome but expect minor defects!

So this desk is awesome - I'm obsessed with the latest flame design release. My boyfriend has had this desk for about 2 years now and it's been a "bit" in our relationship to lug it out of the front seat so I can ride shotgun - my least favorite thing about it. But ultimately, we're in the same line of work (lots of sales and cold calls and driving around the city) and I'm a fool to continue putting off having a writing or typing surface in my car.
The good stuff: Sturdy af, badass design, does everything I need it to do on the road, slide-out clipboard fits over my shift knob, first perfectly in my 2015 Tacoma - I really like it, did I mention the flames?
The "eh" stuff: truly HEAVY (I knew this and bought it anyway), the only practical car desk of it's kind on the market, minor manufacturing chips (see photo - anticipated this after reading other reviews but I had paint on-hand and fixed immediately), aaaaand expensive.
When you have a strong-hold on the car desk market you can price giant pieces of plastic made from molds for $$$.
Regardless, I'm happy with it and look forward to writing on it and writing it off lol. Hope this helps!

I waited three months to submit this review because I wanted to include the pros and cons of actually using the desk on a daily basis. For reference, the AUE 21000 RoadMaster fits the front passenger seat of my 2022 Ford Escape very well. It's quick and easy to install and remove as needed. I use a seatbelt clip to keep the shoulder belt out of the way but a carabiner would work too. I'm no longer suffering with shoulder pain from lifting my laptop back and forth from the passenger seat dozens of times every day.
Things that could be improved:
1) Price: I got a decent deal on mine through the Amazon Warehouse but the regular price is steep in my opinion.
2) Knob: The neck was too short making it hard to loosen/tighten when moving the laptop across the desk without it completely falling out. Solution: I took the knob and plate to the home improvement store and found a knob with a longer neck. Problem solved.
3) Velcro Strap: The velcro strap was awkward to use. It was too wide and blocked the function keys on the laptop. It was so thick that the laptop couldn't be closed while driving. Solution: I bought industrial strength 4" x 2" velcro with adhesive backing. I placed the smooth side on the bottom of my laptop (so it wouldn't scratch other surfaces) and the rough side on the metal plate for the desk. Problem solved.
4) Wing: The "wing" overlaps my cup-holders just enough to make it tricky when I have a large cup and straw. Solution: I just shove the desk to the right. Problem solved.
5) Storage Compartments: The storage areas on top are great but could be more functional.
It would be great if the smaller slots were adjustable to accommodate the specific needs of the user. The slot for files could be a little wider. There is plenty of unused space on the desk side of the seatbelt slot that could have been used to add recessed and covered compartments for small items like paperclips, rubber bands, etc. The bottom compartment is best described as cavernous. I haven't executed a solution for this space yet. I currently hide my laptop in there whenever I make a quick pitstop. I'm thinking about getting some type of bins/drawers to keep supplies handy, secure and organized.
Bottom line, if you work from your vehicle, you need to bite the bullet and buy one.

Super cute

It is really cute and I love the texture; feels like it has some grip. 4 stars because I'm a little skeptical this string holding the phone will hold and not break over time. Otherwise I like it.
Great for my mobile office needs

Vehicle - 2000 Chevy Tahoe
It's not cheap, but it's very functional. It is light enough for me to move it and all my office materials out of my passenger seat when my wife or another passenger needs to ride with me. It's so much more convenient than grabbing up all my flyers, catalogs, and papers in an arm load.
- The slide out tray is smooth with a secure clip to hold paper where you need it. It has just the right amount of friction when fully retracted to keep it from sliding out under normal driving conditions, but it's not too stiff to pull out when you need it.
- It has some nicely sized small compartments to keep pens, highlighters, small notepads, scissors, etc.
- The file slot is just the right size for me to keep several catalogs on hand instead of sliding around my back seat and trunk area.
- There's a large compartment underneath the work surface that keeps my laptop and iPad out of sight when I'm not in the vehicle.
There are several options and colors, and I picked the one that works best for my needs. I love it, and I don't know how I made it this long without it! I told a colleague about it and he ordered one the next day if that tells you anything about how handy these are.
