This would be perfect if only it actually contained the compass (please see picture). I am not sure where in the quality control process this fell out but I am quite certain that it was never confirmed as pointing to magnetic north or true north or really any direction. You see, it never contained a compass. The compass was what I really needed. The package contained the brass container and nothing else. I would have left 0 stars but I wanted to give them 1 star for effort (however pathetic) of actually packaging it and hoping that it made it to some sap that would tell themselves that with this pinned to them, they would never really be lost...

just plain poor quality MADE IN CHINA the needle is very slow to adjust to north or it may not move at all, this is the second Marbles compass which failed to basically work.
