TASTES BETTER THAN WHOLE WHEAT

Tinkyada (Canadian mfg) brown rice shells taste better than whole wheat pasta we feel. Also, there is NO ferrous sulfate added (which destroys Vitamin E). However, prices here are gouging. This sells for $3.15 (16 oz/454 gm) at Wmart per pkg. We found at a small discount store for $2.50. Even from Walmart, that's only .20¢ an ounce!
A hint in cooking: we found that it's best to boil partly with a drop of olive oil added to water to prevent boil-overs; then, pour off starchy water & rinse. Next, add water and boil until close to tender (if not a fan of al dente). If microwaved later, it cooks it tender.

Our family isn't normally gluten-free, but my sister recently had to switch to a gluten-free diet. We used this pasta in our usual recipe for Macaroni salad so she could have some too. It was delicious! Tasted no different at all from what we normally use. We were all very pleased.

It's gluten free pasta. tastes better than some. Unremarkable. I miss wheat. I don't have a lot of great options, I am glad Amazon makes at least one available at a reasonable price. I like that there are different shapes/types available. IT isn't excessively mushy. But the important thing is it doesn't make me sick as wheat/corn pasta does. At the end of the day,, that's what matters most. Reasonable price and reasonable taste
