Compared to my inductive pickup tachometer and got the same reading on a spindle. Checked several other outputs and they were spot on to the tenth of an RPM. Slowest speed I checked was 21.1 RPM. This was verified by timer and counting. Mine came with three, 8" pieces of reflective tape. Not a lot but gets you started. Used from 2" to 24" and got the same readings. You do have to hold the tachometer steady to get good readings on slower shafts. Battery cover is screwed on with a very small screw but didn't fall out when removed. Overall, it does what it says it will do and pretty well at that. I am pleased with the unit. One more thing, the backlight is pretty nice too.

Received item today with missing parts. No carry case. No Instructions. No battery and no reflective strips in order to make this item function ! Packed very poorly and appeared to have been opened and resealed !!
