We are running this saw day in day out all ...
Mark BrennemanFebruary 20, 2015
We are running this saw day in day out all day - it has performed flawlessly with almost no issues. It is on the job every day and has yet to call in sick. The wood insert in the saw kerf swelled up right away and was causing breakage. We shaved it down, problem solved. This saw cuts square and smooth. It is built beefy yet is still manageable requiring two guys to move it around. The stand is a must have.
Sending It Back
Cosmo MendezFebruary 10, 2015
Right out of the box this saw trips the breaker almost immediately when turned on. I used a 50' 12 gauge extension cord (as specified in the manual) the first time I tried to use the saw. I then switched to a 25' 12 gauge cord, same result (switched outlets too, 20 amp gfi). MK tech support said the 50' 12 gauge extension cord is too small/long and damaged the capacitor in the electric motor. The manual clearly says a 50' 12 gauge cord is fine. Saw doesn't work. I couldn't get the blade to spin more than a few revolutions before the breaker went. I have a 10 year old house, it's not like my electrical system is outdated. This saw would be a nightmare on the jobsite, nothing but downtime and tripped breakers. Note to MK: The info in your manual regarding cord requirements contradicts the info on the motor label. MK tech support gave me the location of a repair shop that could "fix" the saw for me. I'm sending it back. I've been a masonry contractor for over 20 years. I want no part of this p.o.s.
