Broke immediately when using rotisserie
Amazon Customer•November 27, 2016
I have been using this type of bands in my rotisserie for many years, this is the first time I bought this brand. Everyone of them has snapped immediately. They should last the entire time the bird is on the rotisserie but these last 10-15 mins. It is frustrating and I threw them all away. I wouldn't buy again. I normally get them from bed bath and beyond but wasn't able to find them. They are necessary for a rotisserie when they work.
New version are thinner and inferior to prior version
CentralScrutinizer•September 20, 2016
The ones I purchased a couple of years ago were thicker. These are thin and inferior so I will return and look for them somewhere else. Just posting this as a warning and to support the other review stating the difference from then to now.
I usually LOVE these Architect Silicone Cooking Bands
Gadgetz•June 20, 2016
I usually LOVE these Architect Silicone Cooking Bands... I have been using them for years, for a variety of purposes. I just purchase 2 more sets, but am disappointed to find that the width / size / strength is not as high quality as it used to be. When you're paying a premium for an item such as this, you expect the best. Still OK, but not as good as they used to be :/
Not durable
chas.•April 6, 2016
I used these one time with very poor results. The first mistake I made was to try and stretch them. I had to "double" them over because the piece I was wrapping was too small to be held together using the bands as is. About 1/4 broke when I tried this. Then I set the oven to 400 f and more than half of the bands failed during the bake. Simple not very durable any way I look at it.
Worth It
PASSTHEAMMO•June 21, 2015
Started using them for the chickens on a dual rotisserie BBQ. Worked amazing and never had any issues. They will melt when a bird catches fire so I have been told, but lets be honest, if whatever you are cooking catches fire you have more to worry about than 2 or 3 missing bands. The part that I was amazed with really is they were small when I first opened the package and I didn't think they would stretch much. They do, 1 band will stretch and fit over an entire chicken. I put one around the breast holding the wings in and one around the tail and leg bones holding the feet closer to the rod. Also used them in the smoker on misc stuff. Works great and they come off easy, wipe fairly clean and go in the dishwasher. Ordered them as stocking stuffers for family.
