Worth the money, good buy!

This lamp is great, very flexible and holds in position well. My only complaint is that there is only one light switch setting, I would rather it have a low light/high light setting, like my old one had.

Very dissapointed : pole and base (which is far too lightweight) simply will not stay solidly attached. Initial price seemed pretty good, but it tips over often and those specialty replacement bulbs are expen$ive.

Nice lamp for the price. I have one that I bought 6 years ago it was much heavier and bulb cost $25.00. Bigger than this one. I paid $225.00 for it. Was afraid this one would look cheap but it doesn't . It is weighted but not as heavy as mine. Very nice looking. I bought this for my daughter. We both suffer from SAD in winter and this sunlight helps .

Great lamp. The previous one I had lasted 15 years. The new one is working just as well. It's nothing fancy but it puts the light right where you need it. I love it and wouldn't be able to see my needlework or book without it

Update: One of the leads of the electrical clips was loose. I resecured it and now it works. I added a star. The build quality is low. The price is low so I guess you get a fair trade. I am ok with simple electrical fixes so was comfortable trying a fix and that did the trick. I imagine the typical consumer would just send it back. Also, I now must monitor it for any possible shorts.
Original review: Dead on arrival. I should have read more reviews but if you get one that works you are fortunate. After a relatively simple assembly we plugged it in to a known working outlet. Nothing. This must be the new normal with manufacturers and resellers (Amazon) just letting the consumer be their quality control and making the consumer go through the hassle of sending things back. Amazon is a good supplier but that's about it. They really don't police their products at all. I guess that job falls to you and me?
