I loved this lamp because of the sturdiness and remote, but could not keep the shade. It looked so cheap, you could see the wire. I found a replacement at IKEA and love it much more. I don't prefer the pleated look, but I like it better than the original.

UPDATE 7/30/21: I was really hoping this lamp would work for me & the pros were enough to outweigh the cons. Unfortunately a month after use (as other reviews mentioned) the remote stopped working. It still flashed blue when I clicked buttons so I know it had battery life. But I could no longer use the remote at all. That was the whole reason I purchased this lamp. I was past my rerun window but still contacted customer service. They so kindly accepted my return request. If the remote can't be used on this item it is not worth the money. I'll be purchasing a normal lamp with a smart bulb instead.

You must use the bulb provided by the manufacturer

you need to watch the video that is included up in the description with the pictures and you can get your remote working again. i both the same lamp for my Son and his wife and i told him my remote stopped about a month after buying the lamp and he mentioned it might be the bulb but when i watched the video up above, it showed how to re-pair the remote with the lamp! Thank goodness because i really liked the lamp.
