A very nice chest. Sturdy and enough room for all my blankets. The finish is not as dark as pictured. It's more of a coffee with cream color. It was the color that attracted me and the design but since I bought sight unseen I will accept the color difference since it is not totally off. It was a good buy and I hope it will become an heirloom in my family.
Not worth the price paid.

Product is poorly and cheaply made and does not look like its picture. The pretty flowers on the picture are cheap brown plastic strips of flowers that are in 6 in strips that don't line up with each other so there are gaps (I would insert pictures however it will not let me). One of the walls next to where the hinges go was already cracked, the wood on the outside is rough in places and the hardware does not fit properly. This was to be a christmas gift however I am almost embarrassed to give it to her but there is not enough time to return it and order a different piece so I am stuck with this inferior product. Please save your money this is not worth the $350 spent.

I thought this was going to be made out of solid wood it turns out that its cedar veneer on MDF or something similar. The inlaid carved flower are pieces that were also added and looked cheep due to there being a seem in the middle where two flowers were cut and pieced together and don't match up.

This chest, while heavy and large, isn't as nice as I hoped for what I paid. First, it arrived damaged. But the hassle of returning it is just too much for the small damage. The box was NOT damaged so I must assume it occurred at the warehouse before it was boxed. Another negative is the color. The picture shows warm and visible grain. It's pretty but it's solid dark brown. Not like the picture. Also, beware. There's a warning on the bottom about cancer causing chemicals. I attached a photo. I'm not concerned but the description should tell you before you buy as that might be a deal breaker for some. On the plus it IS cedar lined, has soft close hinges and took me 25 minutes to build with a 7 year old constant distraction.
One last thing- in the product questions someone asks if the back is the same. Someone answered that it's the same finish. It IS the same color but has ZERO design on it. None of the detail with flowers. I'm fine with that even using it as a coffee table. You may not be.

Everything about this chest is great. I bought the chest so that my fiancé can put all our wedding stuff and other memories in a she loved it.
There was a small odor from the stain but it was not unbearable. The chest is very sturdy and well put together. It also was very easy to assemble just need a screw driver and should have two people. I would recommend this chest to anyone I was very satisfied with the product even though I was hesitant about buying something like this from Amazon.
Bottom line is you won't be disappointed. This is a good buy!!!
