Perfect fit! Helps maintain proper curvature of my neck while I sleep. I use this nightly and can't go to sleep without it. I find this more comfortable than expensive, luxury hotels. Isn't very comfortable if you want to lay on your side though and that is not how it is designed. Haven't heated or cooled, but I am very satisfied without using those features.

I just placed an order for a second one of these so there is always a fresh cold one on hand. I keep it in the freezer in its original plastic bag and when a headache strikes, it is the best ice pack I have found for relief. My migraines start in my neck and the lower back of my head and this roll not only applies cold where I need it, it also stays firm enough to apply just the right amount of pressure as well. The outer case is soft and comfortable and it doesnt get too cold on your skin like many others. There have been times when this roll has been just the edge I needed to knock a headache out.

I love elasto- gel products! I am a migraine sufferer and I honestly have at least 8 masks in my freezer at all times! They are a godsend to me! I had not seen the cervical roll before. My neck always gets sore too so I was anxious to try this product. I can tell you I ordered the small and that was perfect for me as a woman in fact my husband who is 6 foot three felt that it was the right size as well. I haven't even tried to put this in the freezer or the microwave it's just comfortable on it's own behind my neck!! It's surprisingly heavy or I should say heavier than you would expect but a great product and I already love it. Both my husband and I have used it today while sitting in a chair doing some work or reading just as a support and it's perfect !

Warning! This product does not heat up evenly in the microwave, the edges pops and melts. As a Registered Nurse in a rehabilitation unit, I suggest you are better off with the gel packs that you can microwave then massage for even distribution of temperature and replace back in microwave (repeat till desire temperature). In attempt to request for a replacement, I got this response from the manufacturer:

"With regard to the item, the Elastogel sent was brand new. The product is microwave safe under normal circumstances, with no overheating, in a clean microwave and a clean product the item will not burn.

Sometimes when there are food scraps, grease splatters or other residue left in the microwave, sometimes unbeknownst to the user and those and the item come in contact, that can cause hot spots or overheating issues. There had to be something on th item to burn the case otherwise the case would not burn. We hear of this often with buyers who heat hot packs in a microwave that is not otherwise immaculate.

Beware! This product is cannot be microwaved as describe by company. The item remains cold while the edges get heated & explodes. Better off getting the gel packs instead. I notify the company & received this response:

"Unintentional overheating or forgetting something in the oven can also lead to burning, smoke and in some instances fire. A perfect example is overheating microwave popcorn in a microwaveable paper or other container that may have picked up splatters or grease in the microwave or in a microwave that is not functioning perfectly and subject to hot spots. This is not defective due to defective product . We regret that we are unable to issue you an RMA as the item is no longer returnable or refundable.

I guess this is the common business practice of this company to relieve itself from being held accountable for selling inferior products. By assuming and insinuating that their customers' appliances are filthy.

This is a great product to use when you have sore or tight neck muscles. It helps to loosen the neck, and it holds the cold for a long time. Yet, it is not so cold that you have to wrap it as with many ice packs. It puts a good stretch into the neck. I ordered the smaller version for my neck and would not mind if it was a tad bit smaller. Some will need the larger version. I have not tried heating it as cold is the better remedy for me.
