I placed three full size mountain bikes on this rack ...

I placed three full size mountain bikes on this rack while it was mounted to my camper bumper. I literally went coast to coast 8700 miles with no problems at all.
Strong and steady!

We ordered this bike rack for our fifth wheel after looking for a long time. We had bought one from Walmart that was a hitch mount for about the same price and it failed...damaged our bikes in the process. THIS product was as steady as a rock! We just returned from a 1400 mile camping trip and the bikes didn't budge during the trip. VERY satisfied, especially at this price! We are going to order struts for extra bumper reinforcement just as a precaution. You can't go wrong with this bike rack...BTW, it also makes a great drying rack for beach towels and swim gear :)
Highly recommended. Very sturdy.

This is not a paid advertisement. I researched several bike racks and purchased this one after seeing it mounted to another travel trailer.
I am happy to recommend this bike rack. We just completed a 2900 mile journey with four bikes on the rack, and as full-time RV'ers it will get used constantly. I have the bike rack attached to the 4" bumper on my travel trailer, and it is extremely sturdy. I was looking for something that I felt safe carrying 4 bikes on for many years and this really fit the bill. It is well built and allows proper spacing for the bikes to be secured well. The rack is attached securely at multiple points on the bumper, to distribute the load. We are carrying 3 adult bikes and 1 16" child bike, but I would have no problem carrying 4 adult bikes.
The only drawback to this rack is that all the bikes should have similar wheelbases. The rack holds the bikes securely by allowing the wheels to settle into wheel wells. You set the distance between the racks based on the wheelbase of your bike. If another bike has a shorter or longer wheelbase only one wheel will fit securely in the wheel well. We dealt with this by putting the smallest bike in the inside position (closest to the trailer) and strapping it in very well, but only the rear wheel is in the wheel well, with the front tire sitting on the edge of the rack. Even in this configuration, after 2900 miles none of the bikes had moved at all.

Meh, there's gotta be better.

When the brand says 4", they absolutely mean minimum. Our hitch was 3.85" and this won't work, it doesn't stay (you see in the photo it attached to a pop-up camper that is identical to ours). That's not my main complaint though, the hardware is almost impossible to tighten down permanently. Once mounted, ours kept loosening once the bikes were attached. I'm not a scrawny guy, and I torqued the things down just shy of snapping the metal brackets in half so I know it wasn't because I didn't tighten them all the way.
Overall, not exactly what I was expecting to deal with for the cost.

Premium price for foreign made equipment with manufacturing issues.

I bought what i though was a premium product, nearly twice as expensive as the "generic" equivalent being sold. Everything started well, shipment arrived on time, installation was easy, and it looked good.
On the way home during the first trip the bike rack was used, the weld holding the rear vertical tie support failed. I was fortunate that I had also tied the bikes to bumper just in case or I would have lost two bikes. Looking at the post it was apparent that the weld joint was not done well and rust was already forming after four days outside ( see the photos).
I re-welded it, but that is not the point. It is frustrating that company after company sells a name and not a quality product. Where is Swagman's pride in what they do or is it hard to get some worker in Taiwan who doesn't know who's name is being slapped on the box to care.
Next time I'd just buy the cheap one and spend a few hours making improvements.
