Smooth rod- not ratchet

My mistake, I miss read the description. I was looking for a heavy duty rachet rod type caulk gun instead of the smooth rod. Have not had the Newborn long enough to know how it is going to perform over a period of time. Smooth rod caulk guns for me eventually begin slipping and haven't had much luck with cleaning them to get them to work as they should again. End up tossing them and buying another in my eternal search for the ultimate caulk gun. One thing unusual about this caulk gun is the width between the handles. I can palm a basket ball and its a stretch to squeeze the handles. If you have small hands I think this gun is going to require you to use both hands to get it started. It is a super sturdy built gun, you won't bend this sucker with a stiff tube of caulk like I have with others.
