Comparable to Switchcraft 280...

Compared to a Switchcraft 280 these are very comparable, but the switchcraft are about double the cost of the GLS, Materials seem fairly much the same, the strain relieve ears are already crimped in a circle, would rather not have that but they are easily straightened as well. Makes it easier to get Techflex and other cable jackets in there... You won't be sorry Switchcraft 280 are $2.16 if you buy 100, these are $1.39ea @ 20...

Solid, affordable product with one 'minor' shortcoming

This is a well built product with one minor shortcoming. The units 'do' come with an isolation sleeve inside as was shown in the ad picture. Just know they are large enough in diameter to be stuck in the outer body housing so it might appear as if they did not come with one. The only design shortcoming I find (and it may be considered a personal preference) is that the sleeve arm does not have a hole to pass cabling through, so just know that soldering to the sleeve arm will be required with no hole to help retain the cable in place. This was only indicated by one picture (nothing in the text description) so I don't hold that against the company. These are a good buy for the money and I would purchase them again.

I have bought a couple different brands of there quarter inch plugs. Some ones are very cheaply made. These are very well made. The tabs are stiff. You want stiff tabs so that they can hold the wires in place.
