This waffle maker is the bomb dot com. I wasn't happy with how it arrived, the box was damaged, but the maker was unharmed. It does give off some smoke and chemically smells the 1st time around so I ran it, cleaned it down with a damp paper towel, and used it another time. I've never used a waffle maker before so this was exciting. The directions are simple and everything will go right if you follow them. I made Gluten Free waffles - and I was worried they'd turn out awful but they were perfect!

I've included photos of both sides of the waffle, both sides of the waffle maker after the pancake, and the final waffle on the plate so you can see how thick it is. I bought this maker based off of the good reviews this product had and I'm really glad I went with everyone's advice. I hope you take mine! This is a dream. 1 big delicious pancake at a time but easily big enough to split and share with another person.

Fantastic! The instructions clearly state not to use any oil and not to season the waffle maker. Seriously, it says this at least three times in the manual. So per some of the reviews below, perhaps they have updated the instructions.

Also, this plugs in, I'm not sure what the reviews mentioning needing batteries are referring to, perhaps again an older model.

The directions say to season the waffle plates with an oil after heating them... listen here! That would be a big mistake on your part. I purchased two of these, I seasoned one and did not put oil on the other. I began cooking with both of them immediately, the seasoned pan began to stick ferrosiously after 4-6 uses! I had to process a return for it, even after cleaning it repeatedly with warm water, slightly soapy water, oiling it again... this pan was not coming back to its former glory. I am grateful that Amazon was quick to send a same day replacement. I have since then been using the replacement (un-seasoned) and I have no problems whatsoever!
The waffles come out perfect. They can be cooked to any level you desire by just leaving them in the waffle iron longer. The upright storage is handy for my cupboards, however I must say; I don't use the timer, I just 'eyeball it'.
Sometimes you buy things and feel like the manufacturer has just burnt you. But, after this purchase, I feel like I'm a WINNER!

Finally, a great waffle maker at an affordable price! I found that adding less batter makes a lighter, crisper waffle. The video says four minutes but five minutes works better for me.
