I've been using this to spray primer on a project I'm working on and it is doing a fine job. I love the control knobs and the quality of the fan that can be produced by this gun. I have no doubt that it will do fine laying down a bc/cc. It has a 1.4 spray nozzle which is a little small for primer but I have the flow jet backed out as far as possible. I have another hvlp gun with a 1.7 spray tip from another manufacturer and it will shoot a cup full of primer so fast you don't have time to make a good pass with it.
I would definitely buy this product again and recommend it to anyone looking for one.

Super duper impressed with this gun. Came with nice regulator and all needed fitting. Aluminum cup is a real nice bonus and plastic lid snaps in place quickly and securly. A real delight to use and my project looks amazing. Really a great price point for a great quality paint gun.

I'm a first time painter. Tried a cheaper gun from a local store and had horrible results. Overnighted this one from Amazon and the results did not compare! Now this is NOT a professional quality gun but for small repair jobs it is incredible! Sprayed several coats of base and clear with no issues. No spits and coverage was really consistent. Highly recommend for any small job.

Probably for the price it's good but I found the spray pattern to be uneven. Much heavier application to the top of the spray fan. Was not suitable for automotive paint, vintage project and a perfectionist.
