I return this item because it didn't suit my purpose. However it is a quality piece of equipment and I would recommend it. I would have kept it had it serve my purpose.

I think this worked great. Please pay attention as this is for automotive yet so many bad reviews are complaining how it doesn't work on small engines. It was easy to connect over my sparkplug wire and once on it started reading right away. The reading did not stay steady at one rpm reading and did bounce up and down +/- 50 rpm but I don't think that is a problem with the tool I don't think my car or any car really run at a steady rpm the whole time and the fluctuation it was showing wouldn't dhow on the dial tachometer which is probably why some may think the engine is steady when this gauge is not. The most important thing is did it help my adjust my idle to the right setting and that it did.
