Definitely much better than the Kirkland and Planters Virginia ones I ordered around the same time. The whole nuts are split on one end. Very unique from any I have ever purchased previously. Many more whole nuts and larger nuts than the ones mentioned above. A little pricey but definitely something to spoil ones self with...

Beautiful, full flavor and, of course, that "snap" of blanched peanuts which we are all looking for in a Virginia peanut. The peanuts were large, although not as large as some we have enjoyed. Approximately 50% were still whole. We ordered two cans. Right after opening one can and portioning out half of it in snack containers, we sealed up the remaining half in a quart mason jar and froze it for later. The other can is stored in a cool, dry place (which the kids cannot find, ha ha!)

We like that they were fried in peanut oil and not canola/vegetable/other. The salt was just right, and the protein vs. fat content was best for our dietary requirements, compared to other brands.

We will buy these again, as the quality, nutrition and price is great for our family.

I LOVE blistered peanuts. They are crunchier than regular peanuts. I used to buy them from our local Virginia Peanuts store, but they went out of business. I ordered some blisters from Nuts.com but wasn't impressed. I found Royal Oak and I will be a regular customer from now on. Oh, yes. Their peanuts are grade A and huge compared with Planters.

Even though I keep on buying these because I am addicted to Va. Peanuts and these are always fresh I have to express my disappointment that these are mostly halved peanuts and not whole (see my pic). For $30 for 2 lbs of peanuts most should be whole (if not gold flecked). I've moved to buying them from the company directly via Amazon and will brave the almost 2 week delivery date just to get the 40 oz tin instead even though I don't like the idea of buying in bulk like that. I don't understand how they can price it so off the charts just to have them divided into 3 cans. Not only will there be more peanuts per unit price (.53/oz instead of .83) but I hope less will be halved due to shipping issues.

I'm taking the advice of one reviewer who suggested the air lock cans used for coffee and I'll keep 16 oz in the container for the everyday. I will have to vacuum seal the rest into smaller bags which should really keep them fresh so I can buy in bulk like that.

Advice from a loyal Royal Oak customer... Make the triple can size more in line with the 40 oz!

I have tried every brand of peanut that I can find and the Royal Oak Virginia Salted Peanuts are the BEST I have ever had. They are crunchy, not oily, and have just the correct amount of salt to bring out the flavor. I have them of Auto-Delivery so that I never run out. Absolutely the best you can buy.

(May 15, 2017) I have been eating these fabulous peanuts for several years now and they never disappoint. One thing I have learned is to keep the nuts in a FoodSaver vacuum canister after opening to keep them fresh and crunchy longer.
