I have an unusual use for these. I wear them with Due North Ice cleats. They are a men's size 8 and Due North Ice cleats ("Get A Grip") in Medium. I am a small woman who wears female size 8 shoes and this allows for a heavy sock and does not cramp my feet and cause them to freeze. I use them doing snow removal. They are very warm, sturdy and lightweight and have a surprisingly sturdy sole. To achieve a comfortable fit I simply bought "my size" in men's.

Just got mine; I'm loving just walking around the house in them. The quality is excellent. The stitching is tight & precise and the sole is thick rubberized & very comfortable with more flexible rubber toe & heel layers. Heavy high quality zipper. I think one should not expect these to be completely waterproof but I do believe they'll be nice & warm for my expected cold water canoe work.
