used in a 6 person tent. great mat

Brilliant for car camping (too bulky and heavy for backpacking). Made the interior of the 4-person tent very comfortable, providing a soft floor surface. Also made cleanup a breeze.

I took this Mat on my motorcycle along with the weight of a good sized tent and other gear and it was well worth that effort of the extra weight. I attached it to the front of my large Marine backpack and used it as a back rest, so that was an added benefit. The Mat is rubberized on the back side and a "felt" like substance on the front. I have not yet had to clean the Mat off but others have stated that they use a water hose outside and it cleans up nicely. I had to cut the Mat because it was too big for my tent's sleeping quarters and it cut nicely with an average size scissor. I plan to use the small cut off piece for outside the sleeping quarters to help with tracked in dirt when I car camp, I suspect that that piece will need cleaning more often. The Mat collects small grains of dirt and "holds" it but larger pieces easily sweep off using (in my case) a backpackers broom and dustpan. On pack-out, I folded the dirt inside the Mat and shook it out, outside the tent. This Mat gives you the utility to keep dirt off your tent floor, keep it from tracking all over the tent, added protection to the tent floor and gave the inside of the tent a very nice comfortable homey feel. If you have a pet the Mat seems to hold on to hair so it might be more difficult to remove then common dirt. I used a cot and a chair during camping and the Mat gave extra protection to the tent floor and neither cot nor chair "slipped" around. The Mat is not terrible heavy but I would not recommend carrying it on my back with the rest of my gear very far. This not being a fault of the Mat just the nature of how it is made. Delivery was very fast and cost was reasonable for the quality of the product. I have not "hosed" it down or even tried to machine wash, as I believe the instruction said I could. I highly recommend this product for camping where weight is not an issue or you are willing to carry extra. Be mindful of the possible pet hair issue.

Really makes a tent a home. Not too heavy but really feels good under the feet.

This was just what I needed to protect the floor of my tent from my cot. It was also nice to have that to walk on inside the tent. It's so light weight and was easy to fold back up.
