I'll admit, I spent way too much money on presents for my 1 year old's first Christmas. Out of all the cool toys, including a Waldorf play kitchen, pikler triangle, Grimm's rainbow, and a Rody horse, this silly playsilk was the immediate favorite. Still to this day, almost a year later, it is by far her favorite toy and gets used for hours every single day. She loves to wear it as a cape, wrap her dolls in, throw or wave it in the air and watch it move almost weightlessly. It's so delicate and soft to touch that she likes to just sit and run it between her hands or wrap it around her body.

It's held up beautifully to tons of toddler abuse and even though it has lots of little holes, pulls, and runs, as is the nature of silk, it will still endure for years to come. Almost every friend who has come over has had to buy one for their own toddler as well, so the appeal seems to be pretty universal.

Bottom line, it seems expensive for what it is, but they're worth every single penny.

I have to say, I was real skeptical at the idea of spending twenty-ish dollars on a silk square that was hyped by every IG mom just wanting their free merch while the rest of us have to pay but I gotta say, the hype isn't misplaced. My kids use these far more than I ever really thought they would to where this is actually the 4th one I've now purchased. Now I purposely chose ones I felt like the colors had multiple purposes (like green can be grass in small world or a cape), so if you don't have a ton of money to spend that is something to consider. And even with all the expensive Hannah Anderson dress up capes we have my kids will still wear these silk scarves as capes even more. This rainbow one is beautiful & will be wonderful as a cape, dolly blanket, or small world landscape for unicorn figurines, etc. Start with one or two, & see where they take your little one.

Our 6 month old has been going to Gymboree and LOVES parachute time at the end of class. My husband wanted to replicate the experience for her at home and I immediately thought to look for a multi-colored playsilk. I was thrilled to come across Sarah's Silks in my search and her Rainbow Playsilk did not disappoint. Bright colors, light and airy silk but sturdy too (no snags or tears to date). It's large enough for us to both take hold and wave it up and down over our daughter like a little parachute and she goes absolutely crazy for it. She gets excited every time we pull this out for her and throws a small fit when our arms are too tired to continue. I will definitely be purchasing more of these silks for her to play with once she's a little older and able to play with something like this on her own. Amazing quality and absolutely worth the price. I would 100% recommend this brand to my family and friends.

We gave this to our three year old granddaughter in a restaurant and she played with it for the next two hours, using nothing but the Playsilk and her imagination!

I have been buying Sarah's Silks for the past 25 years and the company has always delivered top quality and gorgeous color. In fact, I just bought some new ones to replace the ones that I still had from 25 years ago because they had faded. Even after 25 years those silks were in excellent shape. The new silks are just as gorgeous and they are an investment that is worth it. My granddaughter was able to wear some of the Sarah's Silk items I purchased when her mother was a little girl :)
