Not sure what everyone was expecting from this but it worked great. You are paying for a hollow plastic wand. Do not expect more for 10 bucks. People knew I was a Harry Potter character because of the wand, so I feel it did it's job. I had no issues with paint flaking. Great for the price!

Got for my toddlers for Christmas so they would stop trying to play with my collectible wands they love them and now in march are still running around the house shouting spells at each other. The plastic bothers me a bit because of the feel but that is just from a collectors stand point. The kids love them and that's all that matters really to me. They have held up to being dragged every where and even put in the bath. Great product for the price and for children. Not something I would suggest for an adults cosplay costume or a collector.
