I used this to patch/tape tears in my heavy vinyl BBQ cover that sits on my covered patio. So far (it's been a month) - the stape is still holding.

I bought this to make semi-permanent lines on a cement parking pad in front of my 2 var garage for basketball. It works better than expected. I've had the 6 foot long foul line down for almost 2 months and it's still going strong through many big thunderstorms, 95 degree days, and hours of 3 on 3 basketball games.
I had first tested with standard gray duct tape and it worked OK, but it had started to get bubbles and ripples after the first day in the sun that I had to stomp flat regularly until the backing let go from the top and separated.
This tape is far more weather resistant. It has some slight wrinkling, but nothing that has required flattening out.

It's sort of silly to be exited about duct tape but this stuff is the best. This tape doesn't leave that nasty sticky mess that other tapes do. I wrap about half an inch thick on most of my screw drivers, lighters, markers, and stash them all over the house, cars and I even carry an old plastic card with a few layers of this tape in my wallet. Keep in mind that this is the thin 9Mil tape, the 16mil is also a very nice product.
