Perfect product

Perfect product but you have to use your critical thinking. It attaches (very easily) in and out of the hitch. But think about where your hitch is located relative to the bottom of your SUV floor. I have a Chevy equinox and it is the perfect height. It's thin so it slides in beside my dog kennel perfectly. It's is sturdy. The grip on the platform is perfect so they don't slip, even if it's wet. Would buy again x100 and will recommend to anyone looking for something simple to help their pets in/out of the car.
Had to modify slightly (to make it fit) but works like a charm now.

Lightweight and simple - just push it into the hitch receiver. Stable and platform is plenty big. My 85 lb lab and 65 lb doodle both use it to get into the back of our suv with ease. Store's right behind driver's seat.
Only issue was it didn't fit at first. My husband had to get out the electric sander to file down the edges a bit and now it slides in fine. I imagine we will use it for the duration of our dogs's lives.

Love this Step!

My Gent is a 90 lb, 70-year-old (10 in human years) athlete. Years of playing tennis (well, at least chasing tennis balls) has done a number on his ol' bones. He recently started hesitating a bit more when it was time to jump into the back of my fiancé's SUV (Acura RDX, if you're curious about vehicle size) so I picked this step up to assist. The platform is large enough for a big ol' guy, the non-slip grip is incredibly helpful and important. It's even easier to use than steps would be, as it's lightweight and requires no real set up.
This just literally slides into the opening of a trailer hitch. No need to bolt it in, unfold it, or anything of the sort. Just pop it in.
Love the convenience and quality!

I hesitated to purchase this - I wasn't sure how sturdy it would be or whether my (not very bright) dog would figure it out. But the fold up ramp took up a lot of space and hurt my back. So I took the plunge and I wish I'd done so earlier. This is wonderful - sturdy, compact, not too heavy. And even my goofball pup can figure it out quickly. Great purchase!
Worth It

I had a hitch installed on my Ford Escape so I could use this step. I have been using it for over a year now and I consider it one of the best things I've purchased for my dogs. And I buy a TON of dog stuff. My 90-lb dog took to it with very little coaxing. It's light enough to maneuver easily into and out of the hitch and strong enough to support his weight with barely any movement of the step on the hitch. The price tag seems high for a hunk of plastic but with nothing close enough on the market, let Otto take your money and save your dog the pain and suffering on his or her joints. The only thing I would wish for with this step is 2 or 3 inches longer. My boy is getting older and his range of motion is decreasing and some days I need to help him place a back foot. An extra few inches would allow him to do it himself. I love helping him but he doesn't like needing my help.
Tl;Dr Buy it. Totally worth it. If I start a list of my favorite things for dogs, this would be at the top.
