Water Softner Cleaner

What this is: powdered water softener cleaner
What it does: you add this to the brine tank (follow instructions) to help regenerate your softener. It reacts with iron trapped in the softener, removing it, and leaving the softener better-able to handle your water load.
I used this on a softener in the house we bought, I'd guess the softener is over 5 years old. While it did not completely remove iron effects from the water, it made a huge difference.
Combining the recharged water softener with aggressive sediment filtration DID take care of the iron effects.
