This is my second purchase of this model (I have an antenna for another band mounted on the opposite side of the pick-up). I've found them to be rock solid, easy to work with (in F-150 stake holes), and have experienced no problems with these mounts thus far. Recommend strict attention to detail in the prep phase of installation. The lower section of the mount must mate to bare metal in order to ensure correct grounding. Construction, fit and finish were very fine with both mounts I've purchased. I've seen nothing to sway my opinion in the samples I've seen purchased by friends to whom I recommended the same mounting system.
Great Mount Very Solid Good SWR's!

Great antenna mount!
Got the lower SWR's I was looking for. Previously had a poorly grounded antenna.

Be prepared to do some thinking and custom work on the install.
File the pant off the leading edge of the steak pocket where it will touch the lower plate on the mount. This is the antenna ground. If you do not you will have a poor ground with high SWRs and a radio that will sound like garbage. Also I had to cut out some of the metal around the top of the box inside the steak pocket hole for clearance to put in the steel shims I used. A dremel tool worked well for the filing of paint and this work. Install took about 30 mins.

I used some thin steel bar to pinch between the steak pocket and the mount, took a bit of finesse, but without it the mount was at quite an angle due to the slope of the bed rails toward the outside of my truck. (2012 Silverado)

Don't over tighten the screws I heard some say they can break... Think it though and it will be great! This has been on my truck for over 6 months and I love it.

I added some split lock washers to the screws under the head to retain tension, be sure to use all stainless hardware if you do so it does not rust.

Looks like a factory part!

Works very well, place a drop of oil on threads of screws to prevent breakage. Stainless screws by nature are soft, the screws just need snugged up, not over tightened, just went 650 miles and mount did not move.
Did not work for me, but seemed great otherwise.

I returned it. It wouldn't accommodate my NMO mount antenna. Plus it wouldn't fully cover the opening in the plastic bed rail cover. Instead it partially exposed the underlying metal bed. Hope that makes sense.
does what they say
