Takes some trial and error, but makes amazing frothed milk!

The first few times we tried this frother after we received it, we were disappointed in it's performance. We tried cold milk, hot milk, filling it halfway, filling with a small amount; nothing seemed to work well. After some trial and error, I finally discovered the problem: we were pumping it too fast! A lot of the reviews I read said to pump it "vigorously and fast". This is not true at all! The best way I would describe the pumping speed would be "like churning butter". You want to pump at a steady pace, deliberately but not too fast. After about 8-10 pumps this way you can start to feel some resistance as the milk froths up to almost twice it's original volume! I also recommended frothing it cold, and then warming it in the microwave for about 30-40 seconds.

After we perfected the method of frothing with this little guy, we couldn't be happier! Makes delicious coffee/espresso even better.
Amazing - you could probably make butter with this

This review is for the Milk Creamer Frother.

This review is long overdue! I bought my first one 3 years ago and it's still working perfectly. I tried the Kuissential handheld milk frother before that and it worked wonderfully for a few months but then the motor would keep dying (I bought 2, both broke down, and they sent me new ones but both of those broke down too). I was hesitant to try this mostly because I thought it would be too troublesome/tiring to froth the milk manually. But it's simple and makes froth in 20-30 plunges. Better yet, I left my matcha latte on the table for a couple of hours and when I returned the froth was as thick and stable as ever.

How I make it:
I microwave my Silk/Bonsoy soy milk then pour it into milk frother. Plunge 20-30 times. I find that 40-60 (which is recommended) makes too stiff of a froth for me. I like it silkier. Add it to espresso or matcha mixed with water.

Easy to make - makes a great morning ritual or an afternoon treat. I've definitely saved a lot since soy milk is always an additional dollar outside too. I moved overseas and left my first one with my mom and just bought a second one. I love this thing.
No way to hold the top down without burning your hand on hot milk

I was super excited about getting this frother because my last roommate had a similar one and I LOVED it! I bought this one thinking it looked like good quality, which it is!, but when frothing my milk, realized there isn't a place to hold the top down with my left hand while I pump with my right. The top gets hot to touch and if I don't hold it down, the milk splutters up and out through it...... This is disappointing. I also think that maybe plastic and hot things shouldn't go together. I will say that this is REALLY well made and feels solid! So I'd give it 5 stars for that, but I'm not sure how to go about holding the top down without burning myself or getting milk on myself.
Great for Travel and Gifts!

I am so sick of $5 lattes! Using this milk frother is so easy compared to steam on espresso machine! I no longer have an espresso machine and was looking for a way to get that foamy milk. I heat my preferred milk in microwave (in a mug, not stainless cup) then pour into the frother and give it a few quick pumps up and down and Viola! You have some amazing frothy milk!

Cleaning is a breeze! I always do a quick rinse after using and then do a quick soap water wash. It takes just a few minutes to clean and put away. I detest things that hard to clean, and this milk frother was very easy to clean.

This milk frother would make a great gift for a latte lover!

I love that it is completely stainless steel because that means it is travel-friendly! Just toss in you suitcase and no matter where you are in the world you can have a nice latte! I just gave one as a gift to my cousin. She is going to Ecuador"‹ for 9 months and was so excited to have one! Everyone is asking her to make a latte LOL!

I did not receive this for free or for a discount. I paid about $18 in February and it has been so awesome that I'm here to buy a couple more for gifts. I no longer need to go to starbuck for my Chai Latte bc I can brew tea, froth milk, and top it with some cinnamon for a few cents every morning! I heat up the frother (without the lid on) right on the stovetop since it's stainless (I have burned my fingers a few times being careless so just remember to use a dish towel or pot holder when frothing the milk). The quality of the mesh screen is great and I have used it everyday for the past couple of months!
