bamboo spout works fine but the tube doesnt stay connected to the pump and the pump is very weak. if you are putting it in a large urn style bowl it wont lift the water high enough and the 5 foot cord limits placement, by the time you get out of the bowl you better be right next to the outlet, which with a water feature is not advisable. A replacement pump is easily found, but finding one with a long enough cord that doesnt have too high a flow rate can be tricky
Pump will not connect to bamboo tubing--Ugggh!

The bamboo fountain is great. I like the adjustable feature and the nice sound coming from the water trickle. One big problem: the included pump will not work with the fountain. The problem is the connector piece, which needs to be 8mm male to male. Unfortunately, the plastic connector piece included is 8mm-10mm male to male as best I can tell. This will not work with the tubing that is included with the bamboo fountain. Sound confusing? You will see what I am talking about when you try to hook this up. Solution: buy another connector 8mm male to male. I had one from an old pump but it is a hassle to buy a brand new fountain and then learn the fountain and the pump will not work with each other for lack of a 50cent connector piece. Ugh!!!

I love this simple little fountain so much. I have always wanted to make a small water feature and after we had our patio redone I figured it was finally time. We looked at places like Home Depot and other garden shops but didn't really find anything we liked that was reasonable priced. I was cruising Amazon one evening and came across this nifty product and after seeing so many customer images in reviews I had to give it a try.
I purchased a plastic whisky barrel planter, some river rock and a few artificial plants. Added the fountain, and after a few days a couple of goldfish.
Those noise is very peaceful and I enjoy watching the fish swim and play in the water. The mechanism was very easy to assemble and was well worth the money.
After everything, this little water feature cost under 100 dollars and we couldn't be happier with it.

Nice Spout but Tough Fit

I liked this water spout. It was exactly what I was looking for. The only problem was that the plastic tube from the spout did NOT properly fit the opening on the pump and it still doesn't. I had to keep the tube in it's place by strategically and gingerly placing stones around it to keep it from separating from the pump. If it had fit properly I would have posted 5 stars. Even though there was an adapter, it was the wrong size too.
