This is going to be perfect for this year's goodie box for the delivery drivers. Last year we used a Tupperware bin and if it snowed or rained it would hold in the bin. This will let it drain thru so the items will never sit in water. We start putting out treats just before Halloween and continue until after the new year.

My church is having a Preacher Pounding. In case you don't know, it's a welcome party for the new preacher and the congregation gives the family foods, life a bag of flour, sugar, coffee, etc.. As a way to get to know the congregation, our new preacher asked for our favorite recipes and we decided to include the nonperishable ingredients for our recipes. I crochet (aimlessly), so i added a throw that i made. I needed a basket.
This basket is exactly the right size and it may serve another purpose. My stuff is a little heavy but this basket is strong enough to handle the weight and it's sturdy. I like it. I put gifts in useful things rather than in expense gift wrap that is immediately thrown away.
Whatever your purpose might be, this is a good basket, well constructed, nothing rough or frayed on and it has a nice slightly glossy finish.
